About the West Metro Chapter
The West Metro Chapter was formed in December, 2009 as a regional chapter of the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program*.
Members are certified volunteer Master Naturalists, who look for opportunities to explore the natural world, teach others
about our passion for nature and conserve our natural resources. We welcome and encourage members of the local community to j
oin our volunteer efforts supporting
natural resources and habitat restoration in our community. A sampling of current and
ongoing volunteer projects may be found by clicking above on "Volunteers Needed”.
The West Metro Chapter holds a monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month. Meetings are held in the Shady Oak conference
room located on the second floor of the Minnetonka Community Center at 14600 Minnetonka Boulevard in Minnetonka. Our meetings begin
with a social time from 6:00-6:30 p.m. followed by a guest speaker presentation and/or the chapter's business meeting.
Meeting agendas may be viewed by clicking above on "Chapter Meetings".
*The Minnesota Master Naturalist Program is a joint effort of the University of Minnesota Extension and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
